A signal beside the track

On a wide screen the notice sits halfway down the left edge, like a signal beside the rail. After Keep the spur or Needed only, this origin writes sp_cookie in localStorage. It is not an HTTP cookie from the server. It does not follow you to other sites. Type lives as woff2 under /fonts/. site-v2.js lives here, opens no nested window, and fetches nothing from another host. There is no vendor list, no consent platform, no Facebook pixel, no Google tag. Needed only still lets you read the articles. Tanis in the plate already keeps its own clock. The mark on this origin never travels with you.

How the mark dies

The key has no printed expiry. Wipe this origin’s site data and it is gone. There are no accounts. If storage is blocked, the bar can return every visit — that is the browser, not a tracker we are arguing for. A bar that never names sp_cookie is not ours. Ours names the key; once the key is present the bar stays closed. Articles still read with the script off. Mail [email protected] if a lookalike loads a script this desk did not write. Current through 28 August 2026. Keep the spur is a button on this notice, not a ministry slogan. Needed only stores the same local mark so we need not ask again. Neither button phones another host. Zilla Slab and Red Hat Text never leave this origin. Clearing site data is how localStorage behaves, not a new bargain.
